Eric did it!!! 🎉
He started at 8 AM, January 1, 2022 and walked a one-mile loop over and over for 24 hours.
By Sunday morning Eric had walked 140,778 steps, burned 14,056 calories and covered 64.5 miles.
Below is a playlist archive of all of the Live Stream check-in videos. The playlist starts with the video of his final lap, where you can see the route he took and about how long it took to complete a single lap after 24 hours of walking in the snow, ice, and cold high-speed winds.
Thank You Donors
Our kids work hard enough in school without hitting the streets to raise money. So, Island View Elementary PTA President hit the streets for them, and we raised over $13,000 from many generous donations (as of 8 AM 01/02/2022).
Anacortes' own Quantum Construction has generously offered to match donations up to $4,000!
Every cent of your donations pays for learning enhancements such as Scholastic magazine subscriptions, theater programs, the school garden, "I love to read" month, and the little things like snacks and clean clothes for sick kids in the nurse's office, and so much more!
THANK YOU for donating to the Island View PTA to continue to support the Island View staff and students.
The Island View PTA is a 501(c)(3), Section 509(a)(2) Tax-Exempt Public Charity (EIN 91-1325723), and our official name with the IRS is Fidalgo-Island View PTA Skagit County. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact: PTA President or PTA Vice President
